homework break.

I am up in the David O. McKay library once again.  Today I am working on a major project on J.D Salinger adn The Catcher in The Rye, some make up homework for my online class I am no longer failing (mom), and a huge paper for my literary spin off class.  I'm writing about Haunted Houses and using The Fall of the House of Usher, "Howl's Moving Castle", and "Monster House" to trace the motif through cultures and across different kinds of media.
It's all really fun but I've been sitting in this same chair since 2.

I found this wonderful re-posted post on a friends blog and wanted to do my own promotion of it becasue I've been thinking about the same stuff a lot lately and it said so many wonderful things.

I love when she talks about how everything we do each day all adds up to the answer somebody will give one day when asked what kind of person she was.
I love when she reminds us that we are all legends.
Of all the people that are ever going to walk this earth, no one will ever be me.

The other day I was talking to my friend Alex Allen about the "theory of the now" and how you can take advantage of life by living in the moment, and how you have to balance that with remembering the past and hoping for a bright future.
I told him that I do think it is important to remember the past and be grateful for the expirences you have been through and the person that they have made you into; however, I think it is more important to try and live each day to the fullest and strive for the future you dream about.
I think we can all testify that we are our expirences and the things we have been though have made us into the people we are. That would mean this semester, this week, even this moment will one day be the things that made me who I am.
Don't you think you should try to really make them count then?
I use to get these daily quotes sent to my phone.
One of my favorites said: you only get one chance to live today.  What will you do to make it count?
Who said everyday can't be a day that you will remember forever?
